Meet Your cohost, Donald Quintana
Originally from California’s Central Coast, Donald Quintana is an award-winning, accredited nature and wildlife photographer whose work reflects a lifelong reverence for the natural world. From misty coastal mornings to the wide, open prairies of the Midwest, his images invite viewers to slow down and see the quiet beauty that often goes unnoticed.
Now based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Donald continues his pursuit of conservation visual storytelling, creating photographs that celebrate both the wonder and fragility of wild places. His approach is rooted in respect: no baiting, no calling in, no captive subjects, only authentic encounters shaped by patience and presence.
Donald’s work has been recognized in the National Audubon Photography Awards and Nature’s Best Photography Awards in the Professional Category, among others. Through his images, workshops, and intimate photo tours, he invites others to rediscover their own connection to nature.
He hopes his work inspires people to care for and protect our wildlife and wildlands for generations to come.
